In January of 2002 we moved from Laurel, Mississippi, to Post Falls, Idaho to build a church based on the Word of God. It was not by chance that brought us here but, by the awesome workings of God.

I had served the Lord 6 and a half years as an evangelist, traveling throughout the country preaching revivals and ministering the word of the Lord, and 3 and a half years as a pastor when God called my family and I to move to Idaho to start a new work. The Lord had spoken to both my wife and I on separate occasions and had confirmed through many other Pastors that this was the place we were to go and start a church. I must confess this was a major leap of faith for my family and I, but I knew without a doubt that this was His will for our life, I just didn't know how it would all transpire. We had no jobs, no church family waiting for us, no team of people to help us build a church, and no place to live but, this did not stop God.

The first night my family and I spent here was in a little motel room in Coeur d' Alene and as I sought the Lord in prayer that night, I was strongly burdened for the people of this area, I prayed that God would move and make a way for my family & I and lead us to people hungry that desperately needed a move of God in their lives.

Shortly after we arrived in the area, a family member was able to bless us with a place to live by bringing up our fifth wheel travel trailer from Mississippi and we moved to an RV park for the next five months. During this time we knocked door to door introducing ourselves to people and trying to minister the Gospel to everyone we met. On one such occasion, we met a lady who worked at an apartment complex that had a community meeting center. The woman allowed us to start having bible studies in this community center and soon we began having our weekly church services and bible studies there for free.

God began to move as we started weekly bible studies and began teaching individual bible studies to a handful of people. The last week of May 2002 we baptized our first two people in the precious Name of Jesus and saw them filled with the Spirit of God.

In May we were also blessed with a beautiful apartment, our first permanent dwelling place in several years and jobs for both of us, so that we could provide for the needs of our family and support the church. We didn't have any furniture or even a bed to sleep in when we moved into our apartment but, God provided all the furniture we needed, without any cost, by the kindness of people who had started coming to the church and by others who we had ministered to. One piece at a time was brought to our home and within a matter of months we had all that we needed and even
more.

Through our weekly services we saw God move in awesome ways, we saw people delivered from addictions, hearts mended, lives put back together and the mighty power of God at work in so many different ways, for many different people.

The following year we were able to move into a small church building in Hayden, where we held services for six months. We had been praying for the perfect will of God for us in this area, as
we knew we were supposed to be here in Northern Idaho but, we did not know for sure exactly what city. We just continued seeking God and ministering His word to the people that came our way. After the six months in Hayden, we held services in our home for another six months and then God opened the door for us to be in Post Falls. We found a beautiful building but, it was beyond our financial abilities, however after approaching the owner and expressing our needs for the building he lowered the rent to a price we could afford and another miracle was brought our way. We soon had many families and people brought to our church and saw many baptized and filled with the Spirit of God.

My family and I moved to Post Falls a few months after we moved into our new church building. We moved into our first home that we have been able to own! We paid no down payment and we were again blessed with a full house of new furniture, which was given to us. At this time I was able to start my own business and was provided with a stable income & more freedom to be a Pastor
to our growing church.

Our church was donated a electric piano, a baptistry, chairs and all the things we needed for our new building. Every need we have had along the way God opened doors, everything we lacked
He made up for. When God is in it, He makes the way and we are privileged to be here in Idaho spreading the message of Jesus. Our church is named the House of Prayer, we believe in prayer
and the power of God that is released when we call out to God in faith, according to His will.

Throughout the past four years we have seen miracles, deliverance, divine healing, and the power of God unfolded in this area. It is our desire to equip the body of Christ to live victoriously
and to see the lost in this city saved.

We are currently having services in the VFW building on 3rd ave. here in Post Falls.

Our slogan is "The Church that Cares", and these are not just words to us, but a sincere, heartfelt expression of our care and love for the people of this city.
